| Welcome to the machinery section of the GMD web site. From here you can click on any of the panels to the side and view photos of machine that produce all types of filters.
GMD has been a leader in designing and building filter production equipment for many years and we would like you to see some of the newest innovations in our machinery.
GMD machines are being used in factories throughout the world, producing all types of filters such as commercial and residential HVAC pleated filters, swimming pool and spa filters, high efficiency clean room filters, engine air intake filters, commercial filters for dust collection and gas turbine generating station, paint booth filters, multiple layer media filters, air filters for pharmaceutical manufacturing, air filters for food processing and bio hazard filtration to name only some of the applications.

| The GMD laminator uses hot melt blue to bond expanded metal to filter media. It can be used with a rewind station to make finished rolls or installed in-line with our star gear or pusher bar pleaters for HVAC pleat production. |
| GMD Pusher Bar Pleaters are known world wide for ease of operation and their versatility to be quickly changed to produce different size pleats. Pneumatic operation makes this pleater very reliable and operator friendly. Used for HVAC pleating, multiple layer screen mesh medias, self-supporting polyester media and other filter materials. |
| These pleaters are for designated HVAC pleat production in the nominal sizes of 1", 2", and 4" size pleats. These machines are for high volume pleat production with expanded metal laminated HVAC medias as well as the self-supporting polyester HVAC medias. |
| Pleat Cutters are used with our Pusher Bar Pleaters and Star Gear Pleaters for cutting HVAC pleats into pleat packs for individual filters. Safety is a main feature with under the table cutting that removes a small section of the pleat for easier assembly of the pleat pack into die cut frames. |
| Drying Chambers are widely used in HVAC pleated filter production to hold the glued and assembled pleats in their die cut frames for the glue to dry. These are adjustable for various standard HVAC size filters. |
| Die Cut Gluing is a roll coating machine that applies latex glue to one side of the die cut frame for HVAC filter assembly. |
| Our Heated Gathering Rack works very well behind our Pusher Bar and Star Gear Pleaters to gather, warm, and cool the polyester self-supporting HVAC filter materials to retain their pleated memory. |
| Rotary Pleaters are for high volume pleat production in cellulose and synthetic filter medias. They can be designed with dimple scoring patterns for pleat spacing, designated or variable pleat size production and many options such as: pre-heat, adjustable speed belt accumulators, and post heat---depending on your type of pleat production. These capabilities are commonly used for automotive filters, water filters(drinking, pool, and spa), industrial air filters, and off road heavy duty equipment air filters. |
| Our Mini-Pleat Production Line processes micro-fiberglass into pleats with hot melt glue bead pleat spacing and pleats HEPA, ULPA, and ASHRAE medias and some synthetics. Contact GMD with your productions requirements and information on the exact type of medial to want to pleat. |

| Our Spiral Hot Melt Machine applies a spiral wrapped hot melt glue bead around the ID and OD of cartridge filters normally used for industrial air filters. |
| Our Banding Machine is very popular in the pool and spa filter as well as industrial air filter industries to apply single or multiple bands with hot melt glue around cartridge filters. |
| Our Framing Machine processes cardboard roll stock and can be designed and built to slit it to form the U channel frames, notched at the corners, cut to length and also apply hot melt glue to the frame for disposable filters. GMD offers many options on this machine depending on your production needs. |
| GMD builds these cutters to take rolls of polyester and fiberglass filter medias and cut to length for disposable filters. Options for in-line slitting can then take a large master roll, slit to multiple widths and cut to length for complete filter pad production. |
| This machine is widely used in the paint booth filter production industry. It unrolls the master roll, cuts to programmed length and seals back together, then re-rolls for easy end user unroll and tear off of paint booth replacement filters. |
| Dispensing Equipment is used for plastisol or urethane dispensing into molds or end capts for cartridge filters. Whether it is to warm plastisol, reactivate glue in disposable filter frames, or conveyor molds while urethane cures.....GMD will design and build a line for your particular filter manufacturing needs. |

| Our Aluminum Separator Pleater is one of two machines used to make HEPA or ASHRAE cell /or box type filters with interchangeable gear head sets for producing various size separators. It is programmable to cut the length of separators for use with our Media Folding Machine |
| This is the second machine used to make HEPA or ASHRAE cell/or box type filters. Aluminum separators are staged on each side of the machine and the operator inserts them as this pleater makes the large folds and the table descends to hold the large pleat pack. |
| Aluminum mesh or stainless steel can be run on a GMD Gear Pleater to make strainers and other mesh type filters. |
| Industrial air filters, off road heavy equipment air filters, or pool and spa filters need to have the pleated filter pack seamed together to form a cylindrical element. With our Side Seaming Machine hot melt glue or ultra-sonics can be used to bond the pleat pack ends. |
